To coincide with the release of Bruce Springsteen's new album, Working on a Dream, you can download the Bruce Springsteen track pack for Guitar Hero: World Tour free on Xbox 360, PS3, and the Nintendo Wii (via their respective online networks). The track pack includes "Born to Run" and the new Springsteen track, "My Lucky Day."
Free download runs through February 4.
Come Thursday, February 5, the two tracks will be bundled (Xbox 360/PS3) for $3.99. Wii owners can grab them for $2 a piece.

The critically acclaimed World of Goo (PC / WiiWare), has certainly captured the hearts of gamer's this year.
Kyle Gabler (the guy behind the music of World of Goo), is looking to spread some more love with the availability of a free World of Goo soundtrack download via his web site:
Thank you to everyone who emailed asking about a World of Goo Soundtrack. This is probably as close to an "official" soundtrack I'll ever make for the game World of Goo. I'm making it available here on my personal portfolio for free. I wrote much of this music specifically for the game, but many of the tracks were excerpts from music I had written previously for various small projects, or just for fun. This soundtrack includes the full versions of most of those songs, as best as I was able to recover them. Notes accompany the tracks below.

Players must learn to tame their monster Hot Rods by nailing ramps, power slides, bunny hops and tricks while avoiding mud pits and smashing through Boost Rings to fill their Boost Meters. Family Glide Hockey (Aksys Games, 1-4 players, Rated E for Everyone, 500 Wii Points): Daddy, Mommy, Sarah and Billy are back for more family fun, and this time it's glide hockey. Hone your skills in a gymnasium, a forest park, a beach, an amusement park, even the freezing Arctic. Family Glide Hockey sports appealing cel-shaded graphics and endearing music to go with its friendly, competitive match-ups. Choose between single-player mode, versus mode (up to four players can play), or challenge your skill in engaging minigames such as Glide Hockey Brawl, Glide Hockey Drill and Glide Hockey Tracer.

MUSHA™ (SEGA GENESIS, 1 player, Rated E for Everyone—Mild Fantasy Violence, 800 Wii Points): MUSHA is a SEGA GENESIS game that shooter fans favor for its intense and exciting gameplay. Players must control Terri, a girl who pilots a MUSHA (Metallic Uniframe Super Hybrid Armor). Terri's goal is to eliminate Dire 51, an Intellicomputer that has gone out of control and is planning an offensive attack upon humanity. Use special weapons like the Vanishing Buster, Blazing Beam and Defensive Detonator, along with offensive options that allow six types of formation fire. Lord of the Rings: Conquest released on January 13, 2009 to mixed reviews. Perhaps the saying... 'it's worth a rental' applies to this particular title.
Following close behind is Skate 2 (PS3/Xbox 360). Surprisingly, Mario Kart Wii continues to hold the top position on the Nintendo Wii Queue list.

For the week of January 9, 2008, Left 4 Dead takes the top spot on the cross-platform Gamefly Top Ten 'Most Queued' list.
Left 4 Dead released November 18, 2008, so it appears that positive word of mouth has given this title some extra legs on the Gamefly charts. This surprise hit has been praised for it's replay value, and addictive co-operative play.

Halo Wars Limited Edition Content Revealed!
In addition to the screenshot released a week ago, more details regarding the contents of the Halo Wars Limited Edition have been revealed courtesy of many online retailers (including Amazon)!
In addition, it looks like the scheduled release date for Halo Wars has slipped to March 3, 2009.
The Limited Edition includes:
- Three New “Halo 3” Multiplayer Maps – Be one of the first to experience the Mythic Map Pack from Bungie which includes three new maps, “Assembly,” “Orbital” and “Sandbox”
- Halo Wars: Genesis – a beautiful graphic novel by Phil Noto, Graeme Devine and Eric Nylund chronicling the first military campaign against the Covenant. The novel centers around the Sprit of Fire on a mission to discover why the Covenant are so interested in the world of Harvest
- Unique In-game Vehicle – “Honor Guard” Wraith
- Six Leader Cards – Leaders possess elite skills which can turn the tides of battle
- Spirit of Fire Patch – Start the journey as an official Spirit of Fire crew member
Halo Wars is a strategy game based on the Halo universe. In campaign mode, players will command the armies of the UNSC warship "Spirit of Fire," consisting of familiar and new UNSC units in its initial encounters against the Covenant, an alien coalition threatening to obliterate mankind. Halo Wars will immerse gamers in an early period of the Halo universe, allowing them to experience events leading up to the first Halo title for Xbox.
With the guidance of Serina, a spirited artificial intelligence (AI) persona, gamers will direct legions of UNSC soldiers, Warthogs, Scorpions and more, each group having its own strengths and uses in battle. Adventurous commanders can also call upon ancient Forerunner technology, if they are fortunate enough to find it hidden throughout the battlefield.
Covenant forces are also waiting for players to lead them into battle in multiplayer skirmishes via the New Xbox Experience. Call upon an arsenal of new and familiar Covenant units such as Grunts, Elites, Ghosts and even Scarabs to defeat foes on the battlefield. Strategic-minded players who react well under pressure will emerge victorious.
Created from the ground up for the Xbox 360 console and controller, Halo Wars is being developed by the real-time strategy developer Ensemble Studios. Halo Wars can be played online through the New Xbox Experience and the single-player campaign.
Halo Wars Features:
- New take on a legendary world. Set in the iconic Halo universe, Halo Wars predates the original first-person shooter Halo. Fans of the franchise will have the opportunity to experience the early battles between the UNSC and Covenant.
- Players join the crew onboard the “Spirit of Fire,” a Phoenix-class colony ship converted for UNSC military use and guided by the AI persona Serina. The “Halo Wars” story line follows the Spirit of Fire’s discovery of an ancient artifact during a journey to the planet Harvest, the first planet to be attacked by the Covenant.
- Strategic command of armies in large-scale combat. Halo Wars puts gamers in command of the battlefield over an arsenal of UNSC units and vehicles as they engage Covenant forces. They can counter and crush their opponent by tactically fielding the superior army. Players can also choose among Leaders that possess elite skills which can turn the tides of battle. Using various combinations of Leaders and units, players can create countless strategies tailored to their preferred playing styles and personalized strategies.
- Challenge friends to skirmishes using the New Xbox Experience. See who the superior commander is through multiplayer online skirmishes supporting up to 6 players with the New Xbox Experience. Players can choose to command either unique civilization, UNSC or Covenant, each with unique attributes and strategic characteristics. Ancient Forerunner technology can also be found to create unique units to gain an upper hand in battle.
- Groundbreaking strategy game for the Xbox 360. Since inception, Halo Wars was explicitly designed to cater to console gamers and bring to the Xbox 360 a genre that has typically been played on the PC. Gamers can easily command and manage powerful armies, effortlessly control troops and incredible machines, engage in epic battles and expand their empire using an intuitive user interface for the Xbox 360.
