With E3, comes news on just about every angle. One of Microsoft's big guns will certainly be Halo 3 ODST.
The cover art was recently released, and the game is now available for pre-order at Amazon. The official release date has not been announce yet, but it is confirmed for holiday 2009.

Developed exclusively for Xbox 360 by developer Bungie, Halo 3: Recon is a stand-alone expansion that extends the Halo 3 experience with hours of new campaign and multiplayer gameplay*.
The new campaign chapter predates the events that unfold in Halo 3 and gives players a new perspective through the eyes of a new hero in the Halo universe. New multiplayer maps ensure that the Xbox LIVE experience of Halo 3 continues to thrive.

Features:
- All-new campaign content: The Halo 3: Recon campaign is a side story that takes place during the events leading up to the Master Chief’s return to New Mombasa in Halo 3. Experience the fate of Earth from the brand-new perspective of a special forces ODST (Orbital Drop Shock Trooper), adding a unique outlook and new gameplay elements to the events that unfold in the trilogy’s finale. While the feel of this new chapter will greatly resemble that of previous Halo experiences, Halo 3: Recon will require players to employ more elements of stealth and cunning than ever before.
- A new hero: Known for their courage, valor and, at times, insanity, ODSTs are among the fiercest UNSC soldiers, priding themselves on being the first unit deployed into hostile situations. While not as large or supernaturally gifted as their Spartan comrades, these “Hell Jumpers” more than compensate with their ferocious attitudes and unwavering nerve.
- Expanded multiplayer collection: No Halo experience would be complete without multiplayer content. With exclusive new maps and expanded Forge options, players will find more multiplayer content than ever before with Halo 3: Recon.
- Ever-growing community options: Players will continue to enjoy all the Halo 3 technological innovations, including Saved Films, screenshots, Campaign Scoring and four-player co-op. PATIENCE PAYS OFF!
Whether you passed on paying full retail, or have arrived to the party late, welcome to 'The Price Drop'.
This week we have a few noteworthy video game price drops to report.
 
To kick things off we have a universal price drop on Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (PS3/Xbox 360) to $39.99 from $59.99. The game scored an incredible 94 on Megacritic. Obviously this is a highly recommended title, and would provide good filler until Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 drops later this year.
Temporary Price Drops:
Amazon has a few temporary price drops running through May 27th.
 
First off is MadWorld and The House of the Dead: Overkill for the Wii. Both are available for $29.97 (save $20). MadWorld scored 81, while The House of the Dead: Overkill scored 78 on Megacritic.
For the PC, we have Empire: Total War. This Sega game is discounted to $34.97 (save $15). Empire: Total War has a universal acclaim score of 90 on Megacritic.
